The core of TPI's work has been in-depth analyses of various aspects of U.S. science, technology, and innovation policies, programs, and institutions, all designed to provide a clear understanding of their rationales, origins, strengths, and limitations. We typically emphasize how the broader cultural, political and institutional environments of the United States are reflected in the steps it has taken. Our clients typically are seeking insight and guidance into whether and how the U.S. experience might be translated to and adopted in other circumstances.
Design and implementation of public R&D and innovation policies and programs
